terms + conditions
The artist retains full copyright on all artworks, including prints. This means I can create prints and calendars using the image of the artwork created. When a painting is commissioned I reserve the right to display it on my website and social media pages. Clients who do not wish their commissioned painting to be shown online must notify me before work commences.
To commission a painting, a 50% deposit must be paid before the creating of the artwork can begin. You can also pay via monthly instalments as long as at least 50% of the price of the artwork has been paid before the painting of the artwork is due to start. I accept card payments via Yoco or PayPal, or bank transfers. Once a commissioned painting is complete, there is a two-week delay before shipping to ensure that the painting is sufficiently dry to package. Please be aware that I work on a first come first served basis and waiting times can range from a few weeks to a couple of months, so please contact me to make sure your painting can be completed and delivered in the time you need.
If you are purchasing an available painting from my online shop, payment is via Yoco or bank transfer. If you would like to pay in your currency via PayPal, please contact me and I will gladly send you a PayPal invoice for international payment. Most items are shipped within 3-5 business days from when the payment reflects in my account.
All orders are shipped securely with a tracking number to the address that you provide. If the item is a gift, it can be shipped directly to the recipient. Please indicate the address at the time of the order.
Clients have a 7-day money-back guarantee from the date of paying their first instalment/50% deposit for commissioned paintings. Cancellations must be made by email. Upon cancellation, clients will receive a full refund and lose their place on my waiting list.
If a client cancels their commission order after 7 days have passed, the deposit (or any instalments that have been paid) is non-refundable. This will cover the costs of the artist’s time, administration, emails, payment fees, and in the case of the work having already been started, the costs of materials used.
Please contact me if you have any problems with your order and I will do my best to resolve any issue(s). I strive for excellent feedback and customer service, so don’t hesitate to message me with any issues.
Changes and Rejection of Finished Painting
On receiving an approved painting, clients have 7 days to contact me about any required changes. If the painting needs returning for alterations, the client must cover the necessary shipping charges both ways.
Gift vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase and can be redeemed against any commission or available artworks in my online shop. Gift vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.
Damage in Transit
My paintings are packaged extremely well, however, in the unlikely event that damage occurs during transit, please send a photo of the damaged artwork immediately. Depending on the extent of the damage, the artwork must be returned to me and a new artwork will be painted at no cost. The new painting will be added to my client waiting list.
I sometimes have a client waiting list and lead time will depend on the time of year and the number of other commissions booked in my schedule. I will provide an estimated completion date upon your enquiry. For specific dates (e.g. for a birthday or anniversary), I will try my best to accommodate any special request.
The artist will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties.
Whilst every care is taken to assure the accuracy of reproductions of prints according to their originals, the artist cannot guarantee a 100% likeness due to camera settings and individual monitor/screen settings.
VAT + Import Duty
All items for sale including commissions are not subject to Value Added Tax. Payment of import duty may be liable in some countries, which is the sole responsibility of the client.
